Hamid Karzai, the nation’s previous president, expressed his satisfaction over Saudi Arabian astronaut “Raynah Barnawi” visiting the International Space Station and cited this action as an illustration of the country’s specific emphasis on females’ education.
The former president said in a series of tweets that they are deploying Rayana Barnawi. The first female Muslim astronaut, to the International Space Station for a number of investigations.
“This honour is a good example and result of Saudi Arabia’s special attention to women’s education and science”. Karzai remarked in congratulating the Saudi government, people and Saudi Arabian astronaut Raynah Barnawi on this outstanding honour.
Many Afghans on social media have compared the Saudi astronaut’s trip to the International Space Station with the education of Afghan girls, saying that while Afghan girls are at home and not permitted to attend school, they are making great achievements in this country.
