The study also claimed that the TTP and Baloch separatist organisations were
using US weapons and equipment to wage uprisings against the Pakistani
government, where violence has increased over the past two years.
The US reportedly left behind a “huge war chest” of weaponry and
equipment for militants.
Several sources said that the TTP has increased its assaults on a number of
significant provinces of Pakistan, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan,
and Punjab, since the TTP and Pakistani government’s truce expired in November
of last year.
According to the Islamabad-based Pakistan Institute of Peace Studies (PIPS),
there were 27% more terrorist strikes in Pakistan in 2022 than there were in
2021.
According to the research, militant organizations carried out more than 261 terrorist incidents in 2022, resulting in 419 fatalities and 734 injuries.
