The associated earthquake intensity detecting and identification equipment of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum registered a 4.0 magnitude earthquake yesterday night, as reported by the ministry.

According to the information provided by these machines, the earthquake happened in the province of Badakhshan on Friday, November 25, around 7:20 p.m., according to the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum.

The epicentre of this earthquake, according to the data provided by these machines, was in the Badakhshan Province district, 28.8 kilometres to the north and northwest of the epicentre, at a depth of 226.4 km.

This is happening as the nation’s first earthquake intensity and location detection equipment has begun to operate.

The Islamic Emirate did not provide any further information about this issue.
