Afghan migrants repatriation challenges; More than 74,000 Afghan migrants came back to their home countries from Iran via the Silk Road border point in the previous month, according to Taliban provincial authorities at the Refugees and Repatriation Department in western Nimroz province.
According to Mawlavi Abdullah Ryaz, the provincial director of refugees and repatriation for the Nimroz region, at least 74,360 persons, including 1,106 families and 69,259 individuals, have arrived from Iran in recent weeks.
Over the past several days Afghan migrants repatriation challenges exceeds, hundreds of Afghan refugees have reportedly came back home from Pakistan, according to local reports.
According to reports, 230 Afghan families have crossed into Afghanistan from Pakistan at the Torkham border point over the previous several days.

Recent years have seen an exceptional rise in the repatriation of Afghan refugees from Iran and Pakistan, mostly due to the host nations’ assault, unlawful arrest, and expulsion of Afghan citizens without proper documentation.
Numerous vulnerable Afghan families relocated to Iran and Pakistan after the former Afghan government’s fall in August 2021 out of fear of Taliban assaults and fatal warnings.
These Afghan immigrants are currently facing tremendous difficulties in their new countries of residence, including arbitrary detention, cruel treatment, incarceration, and forcible repatriation.
