Anti Pakistani terrorists crackdownAnti Pakistani terrorists crackdown

Khawaja Asif, the defence minister of Pakistan, requested a crackdown on anti-Pakistan terrorists from the de facto authorities in Kabul.

Khawaja Asif, Pakistan’s defence minister, said in an exclusive interview with Voice of America on Wednesday that Islamabad has warned the Taliban that if they fail to expel anti-Pakistani terrorists from Afghanistan, Islamabad will attack terrorist hideouts there.

If that isn’t accomplished, “at some point we’ll have to… resort to some measures, which will definitely — wherever [terrorists] are, their safe havens on Afghan soil — we’ll have to hit them,” he warned. We can’t stand this position for much longer, so we’ll have to hit them, Asif remarked.

Pakistan has experienced a rise in terror attacks by militant organizations, notably Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), according to a report from an ideological supporter of the Afghan Taliban, since the Taliban-led government took control of the nation.

Pakistan has attacked many Pakistani regions, notably Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and voiced its worries over TTP safe havens inside of Afghanistan.

According to the research, there were 262 terrorist acts in Pakistan last year, including 14 suicide bombs that left 419 people dead and more than 734 injured.

The Taliban consistently denied the accusations and vowed that they would not permit any organization or individual to use Afghan territory against Pakistan or any other bordering nation.

Asif expressed his hope that the security danger to his nation won’t worsen to the point where “we have to do something which will not be to the liking of our neighbours and our brothers in Kabul.”
