The cricket federations of Afghanistan and Nepal have declared their attendance for the Asia Cup matches in Pakistan.
According to reports, the cricket governing bodies of both teams have given the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) assurances that their players won’t have any problem travelling to the host country for the competition in September.
Bangladesh has already declared its intentions, and because four out of the six participants have already given their approval, this raises PCB’s hopes that its hybrid model will now pass examination by the ACC.
Sri Lanka, meanwhile, supports the suggested paradigm with the exception of the UAE’s hot-weather neutral position.
India, meanwhile, was hesitant to travel to Pakistan to take part in the event.
Under the hybrid agreement, India has been offered to play its games on a neutral surface.
The proposal made by PCB head Najam Sethi is meaningless to India’s criticisms because they do not pertain to the games that will be played in Pakistan.
Hopes for the approval of the hybrid model have increased in response to the pledges from Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Nepal.
According to sources, when the hybrid model is approved, negotiations on the neural venue can start.
