India Train Crash Accident The country’s worst rail catastrophe in more than ten years left at least 233 people dead and 900 injured after two passenger trains crashed in India’s Odisha state, a government official said on Saturday.

He said that in addition to the 80 physicians who were already present, they have sent more than 200 ambulances and an additional 100 doctors to the accident site in the Balasore district of Odisha.
As witnesses saw white corpse bags spread around the disaster site, rescue attempts were in progress.
The Howrah Superfast Express, which runs from Bangalore to Howrah, West Bengal, collided with the Coromandel Express, which runs from Kolkata to Chennai, on Friday at 7 p.m. local time.
