The Afghanistan National Football Federation has announced that they have named Kuwaiti national, Abdullah Al-Mutairi, as the head coach of Afghanistan’s national football team.

This federation announced Abdullah Al-Mutairi, a Kuwaiti, as Afghanistan’s new football coach on its Facebook page today, Thursday, August 7.

In the following days, Mr. Al-Mutairi will go to Kabul to sign the contract.

Additionally, the federation has revealed that they will hold a tryout camp in Kabul to choose the best players for Afghanistan’s national football team.

The Afghanistan National Football Team Federation has emphasized that they will select the top players for the Afghanistan National Football Team from the training camps that players from outside of Afghanistan attend.

As the first-ever national team training camp gets underway in Kabul, Abdullah Mutahari will assume control of the football squad.
